GREAT SCREEN LOVERS
OF THE 60S & 70S
This was specially created for an Alumni Association of Indian doctors practicing in the USA, who wanted something to bring back memories of Indian filmstars of the 60s and 70s.
Ameen selected eleven romantic star-pairs of that era – beginning with Dilip Kumar and Madhubala, and ending with Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha. Their speaking voices (mostly from Ameen’s vast library) were linked with their stills and very brief snatches of relevant songs, with Ameen giving juicy tid-bits “live” for each pair.
The Audio-Visual part was put together by RAJIL SAYANI. It was a smash hit in New York in its maiden presentation for the Alumni Association’s private function, after which Ameen also took it to Ottawa for a small group of NRIs.
TRIBUTE TO MUHAMMAD RAFI
An unusual Audio-Visual show in seven short segments, which have to be interspersed with “live” songs relevant to the A/V theme.
This first “tribute” show has the following music stars talking about RAFI :
And there’s a rare tribute by RAFI himself – to S.D. BURMAN. The show was first presented, with resounding success, in Muscat (Oman) in 2005 (with the title "Meri Awaaz Suno"). This A/V, too, has been produced by RAJIL SAYANI – and has the voice and stills of Ameen as presenter.
